Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center of Northwestern University, and Chicago Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society have joined together to host another annual hair donation event!
What: “Make the Cut” brings together hair stylists and eligible donors to create free wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
All ponytails will be sent to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths campaign. Pantene then uses our ponytails to create free wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
When: Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 12pm until 4pm
Where: 303 E. Superior Street, Chicago IL 60611. Parking is also available at the event.
This year, Make the Cut will be featuring:
- a hair donation ceremony
- free styling for those who donate
- free refreshments
- free snacks
- a raffle
- a professional photographer who will post his pictures online for public viewing
- free goodie bags for hair donors
- informational cancer support booths
Please note that all services are free of charge to hair donors and all hair stylist are currently practicing in salons and have hair styling experience. Survivors, family members, friends, and supporters of all ages are welcome to spend the day with us as well!
